The "Choose Pharmacy" (or Common Ailments) service lets you skip the GP and get free NHS advice and treatment for 27 minor health conditions. Your consultation is confidential, and you can simply walk in, book an appointment online or call us on 01239 820239.

The scheme covers the following common conditions:

  • Acne

  • Allergic rhinitis (hay fever)

  • Athlete's foot

  • Back pain (for ages 16 to 49)

  • Chickenpox (in children under 14)

  • Cold sores

  • Colic (infantile)

  • Conjunctivitis (bacterial)

  • Constipation

  • Diarrhoea

  • Dry eye disease

  • Dry skin, including contact dermatitis and atopic eczema

  • Dyspepsia (indigestion)

  • Haemorrhoids (piles)

  • Head lice

  • Ingrowing toenail

  • Intertrigo (rash in skin folds)

  • Mouth ulcers

  • Nappy rash

  • Oral thrush

  • Ringworm

  • Scabies

  • Sore throat

  • Teething

  • Threadworms

  • Urinary tract infection (UTI in eligible patients)

  • Vaginal thrush

  • Warts and verrucae
